The World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA) announced Donal Murphy, Chief Executive, DCC plc, to the position of WLGA President. Donal was appointed as WLGA President for a tenure of two years during the recent 2025 WLGA General Assembly.
It’s an honour to serve as President of the WLGA at such a pivotal moment for our industry. Liquid gas—and particularly renewable liquid gas—has a vital role to play in the global energy transition. Over the next two years, I look forward to working closely with our members and partners across the energy ecosystem to strengthen regional engagement, and foster collaboration that drives real-world decarbonisation. Together, I'm confident we can ensure our sector is recognised as a key contributor to a cleaner, more resilient energy future.

The WLGA promotes the use of Liquid Gas to foster a safer, cleaner, healthier and more prosperous world. WLGA is the authoritative voice of the global Liquid Gas industry and represents the full Liquid Gas value chain. The WLGA brings together over 300 private and public companies operating in more than 125 countries involved in one, several or all activities of the industry; develops long-term partnerships with international organisations; and implements projects on local and global scales. The Association was established in 1987 and granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council in 1989.
