DCC and ENGIE to create network of EV fast chargers at motorway stations in France

DCC plc, the leading international sales, marketing and support services group, announces that its French mobility business, Certas Energy France, and ENGIE Solutions have recently formed a partnership to accelerate the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging across the French motorway network.

Initially the partnership will deploy up to 85 fast chargers on 14 motorway service stations operated by DCC. The new partnership will invest €10 million in the first stages of this deployment. DCC has a well-located motorway network across France, ideal for mobility customers that require charging and other services when on long journeys.

DCC investing in lowering carbon offerings for customers

DCC has been developing and enhancing its mobility offering in recent years in line with its strategy to broaden its service offering at retail sites in urban, suburban and in the transient or motorway market. The Group will continue to grow its non-fuel income by offering additional and complementary services to mobility customers, such as EV charging, convenience retail, car wash, biofuels and click & collect services.

As consumer needs change, DCC is providing an increasing array of cleaner energy solutions to its energy customers - fast charging for EVs, E85, hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO), BioLPG, BioLNG, renewable electricity, and solar installation expertise, among others. This new initiative with ENGIE Solutions is another step toward DCC’s goal to provide decarbonised mobility solutions to its customers.
