Michael Buckley

Non-executive Chairman

Michael Buckley, MA, LPh, MSI was appointed non-executive Chairman on 27 May 2008.  He is also a non-executive director of a number of publicly quoted companies in the UK and in the USA, a senior adviser to a number of privately owned Irish and international companies, an adjunct professor at the Department of Economics in UCC and a board member of Enterprise Ireland.  Mr. Buckley was Group Chief Executive of Allied Irish Banks plc from 2001 to 2005 having served as Managing Director of AIB Capital Markets and AIB Poland.  Previously, he was Managing Director of  NCB Group and a senior public servant in Ireland and the EU.  Mr. Buckley joined the Board in 2005.
