Jim Flavin, B Comm, DPA, FCA, founded DCC in 1976 and is Executive Chairman. Prior to founding DCC, he was head of AIB Bank’s venture capital unit. From 1999 to 2001 Mr. Flavin was Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director of eircom plc. He is a member of the International Development Board of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Mr. Flavin was the first Chairman of the Irish Venture Capital Association and was a founding director of the European Venture Capital Association.
